 A HAUNTED HOUSE

In an outrageous send up of the Paranormal Activity movies, The Devil Inside and other “found footage” movies, A HAUNTED HOUSE features young couple Malcolm (Marlon Wayans) and Kisha (Essence Atkins) who have just moved in to their dream house. As they settle in, they quickly find they’re not alone. But it’s not the house that’s haunted, it’s Malcolm’s girlfriend who is possessed by a demon. Malcolm hires everyone from a priest to modern day ghostbusters to rid her of this unwelcome intruder, determined not to let the evil spirit ruin his relationship… or, more importantly, his sex life.

  FAIRHAVEN

Set in a small fishing village on the Massachusetts coast, “Fairhaven,” part comedy, part drama is the story of three friends, reunited for a father’s funeral.

Jon (O’Brien), a former high school football star and one time college athlete, has landed back in the place of his youth – Fairhaven – a small fishing village on the Massachusetts coast. At a crossroads in his life, Jon looks for purpose and meaning in everything and through everything…from therapy to meditation. He is inspired by a 60 Minutes interview with his football hero, Tom Brady, who proclaims that, even after three super bowl wins, “There’s got to be something more than this.” If his hero can’t have it all, how can he? Although he wrestles with the idea, he finds it oddly reassuring.

A single father, Sam (Sommer) never left town. Of the three friends, he is the most responsible, and the most content, even though he is secretly still in love with his ex-wife Kate (Paulson), the girl everyone loved in high school.

Jon and Sam are awaiting the return of their best friend from high school, Dave, who is returning to Fairhaven for the first time in ten years for the funeral of his estranged father.

Dave (Messina) is the one that got out. Ten years later, when he returns for his father’s funeral, he is forced to revisit everything he ran away from. Although he portrays himself as living an easy-going life out West, troubles bubble under the surface. No matter how far he goes, he can’t escape himself.

Struggling to find their way, after a weekend together, the three friends realize that whatever life brings them, they will always have each other and it will always be good to go home.

 GANGSTER SQUAD

Los Angeles, 1949. Ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) runs the show in this town, reaping the ill-gotten gains from the drugs, the guns, the prostitutes and—if he has his way—every wire bet placed west of Chicago. And he does it all with the protection of not only his own paid goons, but also the police and the politicians who are under his control. It’s enough to intimidate even the bravest, street-hardened cop…except, perhaps, for the small, secret crew of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O’Mara (Josh Brolin) and Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling), who come together to try to tear Cohen’s world apart. “Gangster Squad” is a colorful retelling of events surrounding the LAPD’s efforts to take back their nascent city from one of the most dangerous mafia bosses of all time.

  QUARTET

Beecham House is abuzz. The rumor circling the halls is that the home for retired musicians is soon to play host to a new resident. Word is, it’s a star. For Reginald Paget (Tom Courtenay), Wilfred Bond (Billy Connolly) and Cecily Robson (Pauline Collins) this sort of talk is par for the course at the gossipy home. But they’re in for a special shock when the new arrival turns out to be none other than their former singing partner, Jean Horton (Maggie Smith). Her subsequent career as a star soloist, and the ego that accompanied it, split up their long friendship and ended her marriage to Reggie, who takes the news of her arrival particularly hard. Can the passage of time heal old wounds? And will the famous quartet be able to patch up their differences in time for Beecham House’s gala concert?

  STORAGE 24

London is in chaos. A military cargo plane has crashed leaving its highly classified contents strewn across the city. Completely unaware London is in lockdown, Charlie (Noel Clarke) and Shelley (Antonia Campbell-Hughes), accompanied by best friends Mark (Colin O’Donoghue) and Nikki (Laura Haddock), are at Storage 24 dividing up their possessions after a recent break-up. Suddenly, the power goes off. Trapped in a dark maze of endless corridors, a mystery predator is hunting them one by one. In a place designed to keep things in, how do you get out?

  HORRID HENRY

When Henry fails yet again to hand in his homework, he inadvertently sets off an unexpected and curious chain of events. He forms an unlikely alliance with Moody Margaret, the infuriating girl next door, outwits corrupt School Inspectors, topples an evil Headmaster, wins a talent contest, and stands up to his ultimate nemesis. With each antic crazier than the last, Henry finds himself inexplicably trying to save the very school which he has always professed to hate.

  STRUCK BY LIGHTNING

High school senior Carson Phillips (Chris Colfer, “Glee”) was destined for bigger things than his close-minded small town could ever offer. He was on a path to greatness, but destiny had a different plan when he was suddenly killed by a bolt of lightning in his school parking lot.

Demonstrating that life is what happens while you’re busy planning your future, Carson recounts the last few weeks of his life via witty, insightful flashbacks, including a blackmail scheme targeting the popular kids in school that he concocts with his best friend (Rebel Wilson, Pitch Perfect) and a home life that includes a mother (Allison Janney, Juno, “The West Wing”) who’s more interested in the bottle than her son’s future and an estranged father (Dermot Mulroney, My Best Friend’s Wedding) who suddenly appears with a pregnant fiancée (Christina Hendricks, “Mad Men”).

  THE BAYTOWN OUTLAWS

After her ex-husband Carlos (Billy Bob Thornton) shoots Celeste (Eva Longoria) three times in the gut, it’s time to play dirty. In the fight for her godson, Rob, she hires three outlawed and redneck brothers to bring him back to her. But nothing can be that simple in the South. What begins as a small rescue mission rises to a Southern battle royale. This odd team must shoot their way through gorgeous female assassins, Native American hunters, federal agents, and a whole lot of metal coming after them, while protecting Celeste’s innocent child.
