Who knew?? Who knew that a contemporary twist on the old “slasher-type” genre could make you laugh (until your sides hurt), while having you on the edge of your seats, all on a roller-coaster of breath-taking scenes? Well, I think Director Drew Goddard pulled it off with his collaboration on writing the script with Joss Whedon. It is quite easy to dismiss this movie as being just another “slasher-flick” from the eighties genre, based on the trailer and the name-sake. However, it is far from anything one might think they know about this movie. The audience is taken on a wild ride that is very difficult to articulate in writing without giving away too much of the movie, hence, my one-liner would be to say, “Whatever you think you know about this movie, in all likelihood, you would be wrong”.
